Mr. Kenneth Genovese

Kenneth has been employed in the financial services industry for over twenty years. During this period he has accumulated a wealth of experiences in the various sectors of financial services companies both at front as well as back office. He has excelled in new business generation, customer acquisition and retention. His main sectors of expertise are private wealth management and bancassurance.

He is currently senior manager of the Wealth Management unit of APS Bank plc in Malta. Throughout his career with the bank, Mr. Genovese has held various responsibilities for portfolio management, sales management and back office functions.

He has managed a number of new product launches ranging from structured deposits to insurance linked deposits to bancassurance schemes. This would include being involved at a decision level on strategy direction to product presentations to staff and groups of prospective clients. At occasions these included television and radio appearances. He regularly provides providing sales training on investment and bancassurance products to bank front liners.

As a registered portfolio manager with the Malta Financial Services Authority, he manages high net worth clients’ investment portfolios.

Kenneth has managed the setting up of insurance schemes. This included negotiation on cover and terms with insurance companies, modus operandi and staff training and sales training.

Kenneth was involved in the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures as well as staff training and internal marketing of the investment services unit at APS Bank Ltd. Investment services includes local bonds and equities, collective investment schemes, life assurance products and structured products.

Before joining APS Bank, Kenneth was a Personal relationship Officer - Investment and Bancassurance at Bank of Valletta where his main responsibilities was advising personal clients on mortgages, loans, investment funds, life insurance, bonds and shares as well as bank accounts and other bank ancillary products like telephone banking, internet banking and credit/ debit cards. These activities were target orientated and sales targets were regularly established. The job involved attracting new customers to the bank and cross selling products to existing customers. This also involved giving presentations to groups of potential clients on bank products

Apart from the financial sector, Kenneth is also involved in the education sector and has lectured on various management and financial programs up to Masters level with both local and foreign training institutions and universities in Malta including the Government Education division, Global College Malta, University of Chester, MCAST, TREE institute, Institute for Financial Services and London School of Commerce

He is presently delivering Strategic HRM, E Business and Marketing Communications with Chester University in Malta at MSC level, Marketing Management with London School of Commerce at MBA level and Ethics with IFS UK at bachelor level.

Kenneth holds a Masters in Business Administration from Henley Reading University, the Certificate in international Investment Advice from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments in the UK, Certificate in Trust Law from the Institute for Financial Services and the International Certificate for Financial Advisors from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
