By using the services we provide through face-to-face events or through this website and Learning Management System ("LMS") (the "Services", you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. You shouldn’t use the Services if you don’t agree with this Privacy Policy or any other agreement that governs your use of the Services.

We collect certain Personal Information from you directly or from your employer or sponsor. Such information may include, passport or identity document numbers, data about your participation in courses, educational and professional data.

We also collect some data automatically as you interact with this website and portal. Such data may include information about your device and what parts of our Services you interact with or spend time using as well as data from third-party platforms you connect with this website. Contact Data

In order to access certain features from this site, you need to create a user account. When you create or update your user account, you will be required to enter your name, lastname and email address. This account will give you access to certain restricted parts of our website for further information. We may use this data to add you to our mailing list for marketing purposes. You will have the option to unsubscribe from our mailing list from the emails that you receive.

If you submit an enquiry through a contact form, or contact us by telephone, live chat or other medium, we will also ask for your name lastname, email ID and telephone number and other information so that we may respond to your enquiry. Account Data

When you decide to enroll on a course, attend an event or use any of our services, you will need to create a customer account. When you create or update your account, you will be required to provide, further details (in addition to your Contact Data) such as your home or work address, gender, nationality, date of birth, passport number, emirates ID or other identity document. We will assign you a unique customer identifying number on our Learning Managememnt System.

We will use this data to process all your enquiries, subscriptions, payments, course participation, send notices and keep necessary information about you in our records.

Profile Data

You can also choose to provide profile information like a photo, headline, website link, social media profiles, or other data. If you choose to add such data, your Profile Data will be publicly viewable by others.


Data about your present and past employment

In order to help us understand your training needs and serve you better, we may ask you to provide past and present employment details including job titles and position. It is up to you whether you want to provide this information or not. However, We may decline to provide you with information, advice or recommendations if we feel that such information is necessary to process a request that you may have.

At times, such information may be provided to us by your employer or your sponsor who would be paying for your training with RISC whether such training is face-to-face or through this Learnng Management System.

In any case, We will never make this data viewable by others


Data about your educational and professional background

In order to help us understand your training needs and serve you better, we may ask you to provide details of your educational background and prior learning before we can recommend any training. This also helps us to match your training needs as you progress in your career. We may also use this information to send you our recommendations for further training opportunities and continued professional development (CPD). It is up to you whether you want to provide this information or not. However, we may not be able to provide you with appropriate recommendations and match your needs without such information.


Course Participation Data

When you enroll in and take courses, we collect certain data including which courses, assignments and quizzes you’ve started and completed; your exchanges with instructors, tutors, and other students; forum posts, answers to questions, and other items submitted to satisfy course requirements. We also keep a record of your grades in any quizzes or assignments that you complete.

If your course has been paid for or sponsored (fully or partially) by your employer or other sponsor, we may share your particpation record, completion record, grades and exam results with them. We may also need to share exam results and records of particpation with our regulators, accreditation bodies and external quality assurance reviewers.

We may also use your course particpation data to provide you with offers and recommendations for further courses and studies that you may benefit from.


Feedback and Survey Data

As part of our quality assurance, we gather feedback on our performance from students and users of our systems so that we can measure whether we are meeting our quality objectives. This feedback may be gathered through feedback forms distributed at the end of a course, by personal interview, by survey or other electronic means. We use such feedback to collate and summarize the overall assessment of our performance. We will never share your individual feedback with anyone. We may however grant access to our regulators, accreditation bodies or external quality assurance reviewers access to such feedback. Such third parties will be bound by this privacy policy as well as their own.

Occasionally we may ask your permission to publish your testimonials on our website, social media or other marketing medium. We will not do so without your explicit consent.

Photos

Group Photos: It is our practice to take group photographs at courses or events which may include You and in which you may be identifiable. We use these photos as records of particpation in our events and courses. We may also occasionally publish such group photos on our website or social media sites to announce completion of events, offer congratulations to the attendees, for marketing or other legitimate purpose.If you do not wish to appear in such photos You must bring it to our attention or the attention of our assigned photographer at the time that the photo is taken.

Individual Photos: In some cases, we may take your individual photo during participation in any of our courses or events or award of prizes and certificates. We will never publish such photos without your explicit consent. If you give us permission, we may publish such photo on our website, alumni page, social media or other marketing medium.

For the sake of clarity, "Group Photos" are photos where a majority of particpants in a course or event appear. All other photos are "Individual Photos"

RISC is not responsible for the taking of, sharing or otherwise publishing photos of particpants in events or courses by other particpants or third parties. We are only responsible for safeguarding photos taken by our employees, contractors or assigned photographers.


Payment Data

When you make payments through this website You must provide certain data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, credit card information and billing address. For security, RISC does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, such as full credit card numbers or card authentication data.

When you make payments by credit card at our Point of Sale, by cheque or by bank transfer we may hold copies of your credit card receipts, cheques and or payment instructions to our bank as part of our accounting records.

We do not store and credit card details. However, these may be stored and held by the payment gateway with which we have integrated our website. Under no circumstances will we ever sell, share, rent or lease any credit/debit card details and to any third parties.


Data About Your Accounts on Other Services

You have the option to link other social media accounts with third party platforms to your Account on this website for authentic purposes. We may ask for your permission to access certain information about that other account. For example, depending on the platform or service we may collect your name, profile picture, account ID number, login email address, location, physical location of your access devices, gender, birthday, and list of friends or contacts. The information we receive depends on what information you (via your privacy settings) or the platform or service decide to give us.

Membership Data with other professional bodies

At times our service requires us to register you with other awarding or professional body for examinations and assessments. In such cases, We will keep a record of your membership number. If you have been previously registered, We may also ask you for your membership number for the purpose of registering you for any further examinations or assessments with such bodies. We will not have access to any of their data other than basic details like your name, email ID or address and we will not request them to share any data with us other than that.


Data that we need to keep you safe

When you attend events or face-to-face courses, it will be necesssary for you to provide our building security your telephone number, name and Identity document number. Furthermore, we may need you to provide us with a contact name and number in case of an accident or medical emergency. We will never use that contact name and number for any other purpose.

If you make an enqury, or contact us for support or to report a problem or make a complaint (regardless of whether you have created an account), we collect and store your contact information, messages, and other data about you like your name, email address, location, operating system, IP address, and any other data you provide or that we collect through automated means. We use this data to respond to you and research your question or concern, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
