RISC Institute DMCC is a talent development company specializing in providing learning solutions for the insurance, risk management, personal financial planning, wealth management and capital markets industries.
The company was founded by the managing director, Mr. Silvan Said. Mr. Said is a CII Chartered Insurance Practitioner and holds the Associateship in Risk Management from The Institutes. During his 42 years’ career he covered various senior insurance executive and risk management roles placing him in a unique position of understanding the talent development needs of the industry.
We provide competency training courses for insurance and financial institutions to develop their human resources and gain a competitive advantage as well as providing exam preparation courses and exam hosting for globally recognized qualifications from our partner institutes (CII, The Institutes, LOMA, CISI).
We also provide training and development courses for regulators and human resources governmental agencies to develop local talent in accordance with their workforce nationalization agenda.
We deliver online, blended learning, self-paced learning as well as in person training in Dubai or at customer's location. We serve all GCC countries as well as neighbouring countries in the Middle East, Western Asia, North Africa, East Africa and Eastern Europe.
Since our establishment in 2015, we have conducted nearly 9,000 hours of training over 300 courses in Insurance and Risk Management and received more than 4,500 students. Of these we have prepared 2,200 to sit for examinations for CII, LOMA and The Institutes with a success rate of more than seventy percent. We also have an impressive list of over seventy corporate customers in the region who have engaged us for their training requirments since our foundation.
RISC Institute DMCC has been awarded: Best Financial Services Training Provider 2017 – MENA in the First Edition of UAE Business Awards. In 2020, RISC won the Education and Training Initiative of the Year Award given at the Insuretek Middle East Conference 2020 & Golden Shield Excellence Awards. The 2021 Global Excellence Awards recognized as the Most Outstanding Financial Services Training Provider, 2021 – MENA.

For indiviudals pursuing professional qualifications, we provide blended learning consisting of structured weekly lectures which can be attended in person or online through our Virtual Live Classroom. These sessions are backed by online resources and activities to be completed in between scheduled sessions.
Operating out of our centre in Dubai, a major education hub in the Middle East, we offer short courses, workshops and seminars for public enrollment that are designed to attract an international audience.
We provide our corporate clients with tailor-made talent development solutions including in-house training and workshops regionally at their chosen location convenient to their participants. We also provide our corporate clients with a Learning Management System to support L & D managers to identify skills gaps, create individual training plans, serve courses, and monitor results.
We provide examination facilities for qualifications from global professional bodies including the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (The Institutes), LOMA and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. (CISI). Accreditations and examination facilitation are continuously sought in order to provide access to professional qualifications for our customers.

Mr. Said is a CII Chartered Insurance Practitioner and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) with The Institutes.
During his 42 years’ career he covered various senior insurance executive and risk management roles placing him in a unique position of understanding the talent development needs of the industry.
Mr. Said has been actively involved in training since 2002, first delivering courses in and out of his home country Malta, then to Eastern Europe and the GCC. In 2008 he was employed with Gulf Insurance Institute in Bahrain as Head of Academy and then its first CEO from 2009 to 2015. He moved to UAE to set up RISC Institute in March 2015 and it quickly became the leading specialized training organization for the insurance industry in the region both in terms of attendance numbers and qualified students.
